JGift: Give the gift as unique as your genes.

Forget the blender or another place setting. Give a JGift and help them ensure the best future for their family.

How the program works:
You purchase a JGift for a friend or loved one. The recipient requests their screening kit at Jscreen.org and enters the code from the gift certificate. JScreen then mails them a kit. They complete a simple saliva test in the comfort of their own home, and results are provided by a licensed genetic counselor within a few weeks. It’s that simple!

How much does the JGift cost?
The JGift costs $149 and covers the program fee for one individual.

Will there be additional out-of-pocket expenses (OOPs) for the recipient?
For individuals with private health insurance, the gift certificate will cover the entire cost. If a recipient does not have insurance or chooses not to use insurance, there may be additional OOPs. The value of the gift certificate can be used to reduce the recipient’s OOPs, and multiple gift certificates can be combined to cover the entire cost.

A: It’s easy! They simply need to request a kit through Jscreen.org. During the registration process, there’s a place for them to enter the number on their gift certificate(s).

A: Yes. Unused JScreen certificates expire five years after the date of purchase.

A: If a recipient receives more gift certificates than they need to cover their out-of-pocket expenses, they may transfer them to their partner, a friend, or a family member. Our goal is to screen as many people as possible!
A: If a recipient’s out-of-pocket expenses are less than the value of the gift certificate, any leftover funds will be used for JScreen’s financial assistance, outreach and education programs. Leftover funds will not be returned to the purchaser.
